JD is the next legend of rocknroll. I can't wait to follow his career. I grew up during INXS's rise. I'm sure they will make the right choice.( He could use the springboard.) J.D. you are are soooo right for INXS.

JD is the winner! He's down to earth, honest and has shown a vulnerability the others have not. He was putting on an act at the beginning but has come into his own and realized he had no need to put up barriers and walls. Inxs also said "he would be a fun guy to hang around with". They also saw his vulnerability and how much his family meant to him by saying that "he probably wanted to be part of our (inxs) family. I know that inxs have already made up their minds by choosing JD. They couldn't show any favourtism and seemed to pick on JD re: his tempermant, only to heighten the ratings and to keep up the others morale. They were not enthusiastic about Martys' controlling nature. One comment"so you basically want to tell us how to run our band". They were definitely turned off!

Marty does not belong with inxs. He has no body movement and looks like Iggy Pop, pale and in need of a blood transfusion. What's with the hair?And please STOP THE SCREAMING! He is too Nirvana-like and this does not fit in with inxs' style.

JD has the voice, style, look and does not appear as pretentious as Marty and Mig.

I'm not sure why JD has earned a reputation for being such a badboy. The fact of the matter is he was the only honest person in that lived in that house. He made it clear that he was there to win and not pretend to be everyone’s friend. I found the others to be quite boring and fake. (Except Jordis) The truth comes out in the end and now we get to see the lying and manipulating from other contestants. What is worse being strait-up about your intentions or smiling and pretending to be people’s friend and waiting for the moment to screw them over? Like Marty and yes even Mig a has a touch of it.

My message to JD is you have done a great job! You are talented plus you have tons of fire and by far the most captivating to watch. Your talent and charisma will take you far in life. Yes, you’ve made some mistakes but who hasn’t? At least you’ve learned and grown from them.

At the age of.. let's say 14 during the year of 1987, I became a fan of INXS. It was the only music I owned. Their music moved me and meant so much at such a challenging time in my life. Over the years, I continued to grow as a fan of INXS and still to this day, I have my original tape "KICK". In 1997, I attended a U2 concert at the Superdome in New Orleans - where Bono announced that a close friend and lead singer of INXS, Michael Hutchence, had past away. I couldn‘t believe my ears - perhaps I misheard Bono’s announcement to the crowd and asked my friend next to me if I had heard him correctly or had I already had one to many beers? Needless to say, I felt heartbroken - this band had meant more than lyrics, rhythm, and gorgeous men. Since then, time changes many things and we are all guided in the directions we are meant to follow. When I first heard of the INXS-reality show- I thought wow-has the band hit an all time low?-that sucks.. Being interested-curious-and somewhat furious in what had become of INXS, I tuned in to see for myself because if INXS was going to do this reality stuff-I as a true fan-had to support it regardless of my opinion…and I prayed for the best. Initially surprised by the talent, I thought, well… there are some decent singers-performers etc.. but the minute I saw J.D. Fortune perform--there was NO DOUBT..NO QUESTION.. In my mind and my heart from the very beginning all the way to the very last moment-until tomorrow-next week-next year.. And so forth, J.D. is the new LEAD SINGER of INXS!! I couldn’t be more excited-happy-fulfilled-proud and passionate about this for INXS, I whole heartedly believe J.D.’s the ONE. Sure he has some growing to do-and he has during such a short period of time, and sure he may seem like a risk, but LIFE is a RISK-everyday-every moment and to not live life for fear of taking risks-is not living-and not living- is never becoming our true potential of what we all were meant to be… The other very talented singers-Mig and Marty-both have day jobs-let’s face it. J.D. on the other hand, he needs INXS just as much if not more than INXS needs him. Now I don’t know Mr. Fortune- nor probably ever will and my first objective is to make sure INXS - makes a “KICK” ass comeback, and I have no other reason to offer my belief or opinions other than my ultimate complete FAITH that taking a chance on J.D. will bring back the first true band in my life that I grew up loving and lead INXS to immeasurable, extreme new heights. Have faith. . . we are all lost until we surrender to following that silent voice within our hearts..

Doooode......there are only THREE performers left. Do you think any ONE of them is perfect? There are negative comments on ALL the blogs. Perhaps more on this one because the die-hards get so bent out of shape about it.

What's wrong with "being in the moment"? I mean, if JD was supposed to write his OWN song, I'm sure he could've put another one together, like he did with "Pretty Vegas". But they were supposed to be COLLABORATING and that's what he did. I mean, there's nothing wrong with MiG and Marty going in with their own ideas, but I don't see anything wrong with JD going in fresh, either. Different strokes for different folks,you know? And,sure, you can call it lazy,or whatever,but did you see how fast he and Andrew got something out of nothing? They just kept firing ideas back and forth, like boom, boom,boom,you know? It seemed like a very natural collaboration to me; a "meeting of the minds",so to speak. So, yeah, maybe he doesn't like overthink things too much, but he can think on his toes and works well under pressure, so give the guy a LITTLE credit,eh? I'm reading these comments here, and actually, I told my sister he reminded me of an Elvis impersonator the way he said "baby" during a song for some reason, and at that time I had no idea he was a former Elvis impersonator. We had a huge laugh when we read about it, though.

Alexjohn........yeah, sorry, I meant royalties. I guess commission connotes car dealers!

But yeah, there was a big bruhaha about 10 years ago within the band because Andrew and Michael made royalties off the songs differently than the other bandmates.........because Andrew and Michael had written them. As a result, Andrew and Michael were making more money than the others. I think it was 10 years ago, maybe a little longer than that.

But yeah, the people who are trying to compare the songwriting styles of the three remaining guys are comparing apples and oranges.

Okay dude- got it...JD has plenty of angst to go around ...so in that respect his creative process belongs to him. I'm sure that by living in a car, he's got plenty of material in draw upon.

As for all the armchair quarterbacks out there who say he's fickle and lazy just don't get it and never will. He'll do just fine in any collaboration...you'll all learn to love him and will be buying the CD in November.

If by commissions you mean royalties...well I believe royalties are paid to all the band members not just the songwriter(s). In any event, I'm sure you will agree, he is the closest thing to Michael left standing.
